    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Decent work/life balance.
    Not overly political.
If you come in from the outside, the compensation package is good. At the time I started they had both 401K with match and pension. (I am told new hires do not receive pension, and ConAgra have now indexed pensions)

    Cons

Ralcorp, Ralcorp, Ralcorp. Former CEO Gary Rodkin made one of the biggest acquisition blunders in modern CPG history. Google it.
This led to a complete change in employee mindset, which til this day has not recovered. There were many layoffs, the corporate office was moved to Chicago, many employees were demoted in title.
CEO that replaced Gary Rodkin seems very disingenuous. Tries to give the appearance he has the employees' best interest in mind, yet in reality there has been massive layoffs and other changes.
Tough to get promoted. They promote favorites.

    Advice to Management

Win back the confidence of your employees.
Convince them CAG is not for sale or will not be broken up in parts.

I worked at Conagra Brands full-time

    Pros

Great working environment and a very friend atmosphere. Opportunity for over time, plus their schedule is 4 days a week at ten hours a day so that way you get 3 full days off and still get a 40hr weekly check.

    Cons

During the busy season they do have mandatory over time where you'll more than likely be working 7 days a week for a few weeks straight.

    Advice to Management

I get that when one team is short on man power and you some times have to pull a person or persons from one group to accommodate, which is not the problem but for people how aren't familiar with the new line they just get thrown in a position not knowing how said line is particularly run. So that being said my only advice is a quick little curse of training on that new area to help lessen the confusion. Other than that my personal over all experience when i was employed was great aside from the for mention issue mentioned above..
