    Cons

Highly unorganised internal systems Over work and low work life Balance Too much focus on raising funds and lower on policy advocacy Business development, project management and project execution everything is expected to be done Lack of internal training systems Expected to know finance, hr and general management to run projects

    Advice to Management

Please try to make internal systems more organised and robust Try to promote young professionals on policy platforms rather than just being event managers Understaffing decreases employee efficiency Please have a cafeteria within premises Also provide health insurance to employees Reduce probation period to 3 months

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Confederation of Indian Industry full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Exposure at its best Competitive environment Accountability

    Cons

Loss of work life balance Loads of summits & seminars Focus is on money making and not on the content. Politics start here. Right utilisation of staff is lacking.

    Advice to Management

Right utilisation of staff is lacking. So need to rightly fit them as per their expertise. Requires focus on quality of program rather than income attached. Sr management are over burdened and hence junior staffs don't get proper direction.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Confederation of Indian Industry full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Brand name in the industry

    Cons

Lacks any kind of HR intervention except while recruiting. Its a highly unprofessional organisation with no processes on recruiting, employee motivation, performance management and mentoring. Most of the day-to-day work is done on the basis of relationships that exist between people. Also, the organisation lacks long-term vision vis-a-vis its peers.
