Former Employee - Team Member in Singapore

I worked at Cotton On part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Super attractive staff discount across brands under the group - No capped on staff purchase. This allows me to maximise the best out of the discount by purchasing by getting clothes for relatives during CNY. - Follows Singapore's local employment law, Part-Timer are not allowed to work more than 35hours a week. - Flexible working hours (able to negotiate/ arrange working hours with store manager)

    Cons

    - Quite pressured to hit target especially for Foundation items and any 'With Any Purchase' item. - Depends on the manager you have. If your store management sucks at his/ her job, you are as good as gone, therefore retention % at certain store quite low even after GSS/ X'Mas period.

I worked at Cotton On part-time for less than a year

    Pros

-cool staff -chill environment -fun items to sell -lots of regular customers and people loyal to Typo

    Cons

-items were cheap quality and often broke on people -often worked alone (sometimes scheduled for 4-5 hours) -small staff means harder to take time off -big theft problem -management would send a bag of skittles to us as “thanks” during holidays rather then pay us holiday pay. We got normal pay no matter the holiday
