Pros

A company supported by nice people who care about you and will not require you to be overworked to be recognized.

Cons

Low pay for the experience and position based on the field. Potential for growth without substantial pay increases. What was once the main selling point of counterpoint in its company culture is now a shadow of its former self that has never recovered since the shift to remote after covid.

Pros

A young company culture that might be welcoming to fresh graduates

Cons

-Most work is on legacy projects with niche technologies -Majority of the company is fresh graduates so working on/maintaining projects is a nightmare -Promotions are based on tenure, not competency and do not really come with any responsibility -Low retention especially among more senior people

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We're sorry Counterpoint wasn't a good fit for you, but we appreciate your comments and take the feedback seriously. While we do have some legacy projects that we're incredibly proud of, we also have multiple projects in progress and ramping up that are using newer technologies. We're excited about these projects and for the opportunities our employees will have to gain exposure and knowledge while working on them. We understand that our culture events aren't for everyone, and that's totally fine! We simply want to give employees the chance to take a break during the day, have some fun, and bond with their coworkers. None of the events are mandatory, but they have always been a part of our company culture, which is something we still seek to foster in a remote environment. When discussing retention rates, we've always compared ourselves to the tech industry as a whole, and never specific, larger companies. Counterpoint has always been transparent with our employees about our attrition/retention rates, and use industry benchmarks as context for those statistics. Again, we're sorry Counterpoint wasn't able to provide you a better experience, but we wish you nothing but the best in your next role!
