Pros

Amazing company culture. A true meritocracy where hard work and contribution are appreciated and rewarded and silly politics don't get in the way of doing the right things. I've never had the privilege of working at such a great company before. I love the bias for action and the fact that it is ok to make mistakes and learn from them rather than a bunch of CYA and people scared to take risks. I also love the... upside down org charts that really reflect the way leadership is there to support and enable people rather than just go on a power trip and tell people what to do like I've seen at other companies.

Cons

There are no 'sacred cows' at Coupa as we continue to grow and scale the company. This means things frequently change and you need to be able to adapt. For most this is exciting, but for those that previously worked in big companies where you could hide out in a division somewhere and just keep your head down, Coupa is not that place.

Advice to Management

Keeping up the great work and don't forget to keep sharing equity with the employees so that all contributing to Coupa's continued amazing success can continue to share in the rewards of their hard work.

Best part about Coupa is everyone work like an entrepreneur. We are completely accountable for our work, managers support very well. I love the company core values and default i have those core values within me. Every employee is contributing to the success of our company, customers and making impact in the market. I am a #CoupaProud.

Cons

The most positiveness about this company is being every employee as entrepreneur. Coupa is growing globally in terms of employees as well as presence across the globe. I am just worried that startup or entrepreneur mentality will go away from employees.

Advice to Management

Great leadership team. Just keep up with the good appraisals and benefits, that's the only reason i can think of if somebody wants to quit Coupa.

Never heard anyone cribbing about the company or the management. People are only concerned that the work should be completed, no matter how comfortably it is done :)

"Taking care of your employees and customer will be well taken care of" - suits best for this company. This is the 3rd organization i am working for and i can certainly say i have been 3rd time lucky. I love working at Coupa. The kind of love and camaraderie people share here is unbelievable. Let me share few instances to highlight that: 1. Respect for Everyone - On the day of my joining, i was taken for a floor... walk by my manager. Obviously it was to introduce everyone to me and vice versa. I was pleasantly surprised when i was introduced to people working in House keeping and security departments with same enthusiasm and they welcomed me with so much love. This action said a lot about what this company is made of. CEO sending you a welcoming note is all you can ask for - and its not any standard welcome mail! 2. Skill and Commitment - Mind you the company is filled with less but super-skilled people. I went through 7 rounds of interview to get into Coupa. My earlier organization with around same revenue had 10000 employees, Coupa pulls of that same revenue with 1500. Rarely seen in other companies - each employee in Coupa remembers the company's three pillars of success. They are not the taglines just put on a wall but values that run deep in every employee. You can feel the energy and commitment while talking to the employees. 3. Empathizing Culture: Family and Health first is practiced very highly at Coupa. You can exercise WFH option easily, if your role permits. People are very supportive during your tough times. I think its one of the major reasons for the level of commitment people show here. Last month i lost my grandmother - to my surprise couple of days later a bouquet of flowers was delivered to me along with a letter of condolence from Coupa - What a gesture it was! 4. Compensation - Very competitive. You are also provided stocks - that adds cherry on the cake with the way company is growing 5. Fun place - Games, Playstation, 24x7 pantry, Free Snacks ,fruits, beverages everyday, lots of goodies, Friday Free Lunch, Books to read, Sit anywhere and work, people getting kids to office..AWESOME! 6. Travel Opportunities - Lot of Travelling abroad. I guess that also depends on your role . But in my Knowledge , most of the Coupa Pune employees have been abroad at least once. I don't think i need to say anything about the product as the reports and numbers are out there to see that its the very best in the business.

Cons

Like in any organization - there are people who are going to be dissatisfied with appraisals. I think its very subjective to each individual. The Interview cycle is too long and HR department needs to work on it. Also the communication with the candidate needs to be much better.

Advice to Management

While the organization scale up, like any other, the challenge is to keep the culture intact. Its difficult but i think the leadership is trying their best. If in future Coupa culture remains as of today, its going to be one of the most desired workplace for the talent.

I work with Pune India branch. It's an absolute pleasure to work with this company. Have always got the positive vibes whenever I come to office. The people working here are always approaching and great to work with.
