What its like really working at CyberSponse...

Pros

Regardless of the negative reviews about the CyberSponse CEO, no one posting these reviews actually know the CEO. Yes, they might have worked with him in small parts, but those that know really him have chosen to follow his leadership and vision in building this company. We all have plenty of employment options, facts speak for themselves. The truth is that the company wanted to make a lot of changes with the previous members of the team in order to continue the expansion of its technology and customer base. Its sad to see some of these folks post negative reviews and I wish everyone would just show some maturity and not make this so personal. Building a business is difficult and challenging, no one ever said it would be easy and simple. Respect the hard work and sacrifice that this team has made. Personally, working for CyberSponse has been an opportunity for me to personally and professionally. Yes, every startup has its ups and downs but there's never a dull moment either. We wear many hats and work together as a team to succeed. There is not a company in the world that has created innovation without turnover or even a dispute or two. Just watch what all the other innovative company founders have written in their auto-biographies or what you see in motion pictures. Our CEO only wants the best out of this team and has only be good intentions in his efforts yet no one is perfect. If you have thick skin and like to be motivated with a little pressure (in a good way), you will enjoy working for CyberSponse. The environment is not a vacation or somewhere to just coast and get paid. if you want to succeed in this highly competitive industry, you're going to have to work really hard, learn from others, listen and grow at a fast pace. To set the record straight, the company CEO is not located in Arizona. I work with him everyday in our Virginia office, so whoever is posting this review clearly has another agenda. The culture is work hard, have fun but also push yourself to be the best you can be.

Cons

There was a bump in the road for the company during a minor restructuring that took place over a year ago, this actually happens with a lot of organizations. It was not easy to do but we came out ahead. Every organization has turn over, its just the nature of building a good team, a good product and it comes with a little frustration at times. If our CEO is trusted by the US Secret Service and other agencies, I would take that into consideration when reading the negative reviews. Overall this has been a true entrepreneurial environment to work in and exciting time to be part of fast growing company.

Horrible environment, horrible leadership

Pros

Free snacks and lunches. Learning opportunity in security operations

Cons

CEO yells and screams at people, tells his people to DROP everything to work on his pet project. Tells his people they are stupid and that he can do a better job. Hostile environment. More than once I saw people leaving crying. Little to no on boarding or training. Just listen in and do your job. Just do your job and if you don't do it the way they wanted you to, you're out. They are constantly concerned with what the competition is doing and can't focus on making a good product to stand on its own. The end goal of the company is to sell it and cash out. Pay was lower than industry standard. Benefits aren't too good. The office is old and dingy and everyone watches what you are doing, keeping NOTES. I was told that I better not leave right when my shift ends, that it will look bad. That I should hang around for 10-15 more minutes. They hire the cheapest, youngest developers just to get a body in the door. They drive out the good talent or fire them. It's a constant revolving door.

Pros

- Ample Opportunities: Pick and area and deliver. Move into a new area. Device your career - Market leading Product and Engineering technologies - Innovation within CyberSecurity. Not mundane - Friendly atmosphere and supportive to various skill/ experience level - Talent concentration - Ability to work from anywhere. Output focused

Cons

- Like all Startups: intense, understaffed and prone to focus changes. All these has evolved over time. - Subject to noise/ rumor (since it's a small team). Experienced resources prosper. - Limited resources & time to cross-train. People of who need hand-holding hit the ceiling often. - Not a relaxed 9-5 work environment (Did I tell you it's a startup?)
