Pros

Work from home (soon to be removed) Nice coworkers

Cons

Outrageously different than from when I onboarded. Initially the goal was for quality over quantity. Higher ups at least pretended to care about their employees back in the day. Now quality has been completely ignored since the higher ups have decided shipping out a low-quality product in high amounts is more important than keeping around a team of hard-working and talented people that focus on quality. The entire DEA force in America was laid off in hopes to save money by using workers overseas. They have started training overseas workers for QA work as well, and most of us could smell the blood in the water so we left before we would be laid off in a few months too. The raise offered to keep us around wasn't enough to make up for the lack of humanity and empathy. It used to be a warm place where I felt accepted. My team was filled with some of the smartest and most hardworking people I've ever met. We were all let down following the huge layoffs. We aren't blind, and we could very clearly see we would be laid off soon as well. So we all left. I hated working at a place that put profit over humanity. I think most of us felt that way. This place had incredible potential 2 years ago. I was proud to work here. Not any longer. The higher ups claim to care about transparency, when that couldn't be further from the truth. They kept constant secrets, and any big changes were dropped on us as if they meant nothing despite the huge implications. On top of that, higher ups looked down on everyone. There is a serious issue with superiority complexes in this company, with only a few people being exceptions (if you worked here, you know the handful of people I'm talking about. Most of which quit as well, by the way). I doubt this company will have any openings, but just in case, I'm leaving this review to warn people. It's not worth it. The only area I might put any consideration into joining on for is the Machine Learning, but by nature, that job will likely be replaced as well. People from Europe within the company were always horribly negative towards our work. We never met their expectations because the sales team has no idea what is realistic, and we had to try to meet those expectations. A lot of the time we would do things previously thought impossible for our team to meet expectations, only for said expectations to be raised even more. Sales team has no idea what sort of work it is. I doubt they will be treating overseas workers any better than us. Work from home will likely be removed as an option shortly because the company's ego is too high to consider downsizing the huge office that no one uses, and would rather force people to return. There is no reason to make this job in person, save for perhaps the first 2 weeks of training, but even then, it isn't necessary. It's likely that higher ups also don't trust workers to stay on task despite the fact that I'm fairly certain the large majority of us worked ourselves to the bone. So they would prefer to physically look over our shoulders, since the time-wasting methods to insure we were using every single second to work wasn't enough I guess. No bathroom breaks, you are expected to do that all during your two 15-minutes breaks and unpaid 30-minute lunches. I found myself avoiding drinking water to prevent myself from needing to use the bathroom outside of those times. You are technically able to spread your paid breaks throughout the day for these bathroom breaks, which just feels like a punishment for having the audacity to have human bodily functions. They want machines, which is why they are moving to people that are easier to abuse. I'd love to be more positive, but with nearly all of the good people leaving, there's almost nothing to praise. Benefits are better than nothing, technically, but not by much. As far as I understand, for similar companies in the area, the pay was on the lower side (especially for anyone with extra responsibilities). I feel like I could go on for hours about why this workplace is going down the drain at an alarming rate. Not worth it. Avoid at all costs.

Pros

-Very easy and low stress

Cons

- They threaten disciplinary action if you use the bathroom when you don't have one of your two breaks available. Better hold it in! Make sure you never need to use the restroom more than twice in 8 hours. Just dehydrate yourself a bit. Seriously? - Mindnumingly repetitive. You basically do the same 30 second task on repeat for 8 hours for months at a time - They basically run this like a bad call center

Sorry to hear you are not enjoying working at Cyclomedia. We acknowledge the DEA role is repetitive and are clear about that during the recruiting process. We promote within for all advanced roles within the extraction floor so there are opportunities to grow beyond the DEA position. As for breaks, we offer 15 mins paid break for each 4 hours an employee works and a 30-minute unpaid lunch for 6 or more hour work shift. We allow employees to split up their 15 mins paid in any way they like; for example, employees can take three 5-minute breaks or split into 2 breaks with a 5- and 10-min break. We do encourage employees to use this time to rest their eyes, stretch, get fresh air, get a drink, snack, and/or use the restroom. We take pride in our Company by ensuring each employee is treated fairly and equally. If you have an accommodation request, please reach out to HR to engage in an interactive process with your physician regarding ADA.

Pros

*Had* work from home option, but recent changes mean that's going away if you do poor work Don't really need to talk to anyone if you don't want to Not physically laborious

Cons

Horrible institutional issues deep within the company. Care more about sales than what product they can actually produce. If you are on the production end of things, you will not be respected Need to report what you're doing every second of the day
