I have been working at DTEK full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Great team (holding company), experienced executives, attractive non-cash benefits, overall very employee-friendly environment, regular promotions, interesting projects

    Cons

Your experience highly depends on your team’s leader (mine was great, and most of the leaders were great; but obviously it’s not always the case); salary is decent but that’s about it; deadlines can be very tough which often leads to overtimes; sometimes it’s difficult to get people employed at sub holdings to do what you need to do

    Advice to Management

Could be great to invest more in employees professional /soft skills development

    I worked at DTEK

    Pros

Top management and supervisor demonstrated flexibility in terms of what can be done to achieve required results. Freedom to act, availability of necessary resources and good motivation are very important for me.

    Cons

Job was very demanding with terribly long work hours. I would say even longer than hours at investment banks. Though management was willing to accept new ideas, the initial level of resistance to change was to high and persuading management took lots of time and energy which could have been spent more wisely.

    Advice to Management

Management should be more open to innovative practices and should hire those who have guts to see that all due changes are made, even if these changes are uncomfortable.
