I have been working at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The Institute has a lot of talented and well intentioned people that make coming to work worthwhile. The benefits are great. If you're in a good area with a supportive manager and interesting work then it's great to be here.

    Cons

Compensation is low. They hired someone to lead the compensation department in human resources who was marketed as someone who could solve the low pay that exist all over, but so far as I can see she's done nothing to help resolve the problem except talk your head off. There are too many unnecessary meetings that take away time from focusing on the important stuff.

I worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great team and colleagues. Excellent learning environment for beginners starting out in the research world.

    Cons

Due to low pay, it's not a good place to stick around for good amount of time. Most of my colleagues either advanced their degrees or took a job at other companies.
