Decent Company, be aware of franchising
31 May 2021 - Field Technician in Des Moines, IARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-Competitive Pay for full time work -Company vehicle, no commute cost -Independent work -Pay based on work billed means you get paid for everything you do
Cons
-Exposed to all weather conditions -Pay is based on work billed to dealerships, bad months for the market are bad months for you -Franchise based ownership means you could potentially end up with management horror stories, I was fortunate not to -You work alone, unless you can make friends with people you see very briefly at stops, you will not have much socialization at work
Thank you for your review! It's great to hear you have had a positive Franchise experience with Dealer Specialties, and appreciate the competitive pay and work structure. Thank you for your hard work and keep doing great things!

- Weather! You work in extreme cold/hot weather! - Location! Drives can be 30 mins to an hour driving back and forth to shoot cars and print labels in a short amount of time. - Cars! Some dealership DO NOT have cars ready on time. - Time! In the fall/winter time is limited due to the sunset.

Pros
Working with dealers and creating relationships, plus plus is getting to drive all the vehicles.
Cons
Management makes contracts with dealerships then gets mad with the revenue is not up to par. We take the pictures of the vehicles available and when the company does not charge enough the revenu is down at no fault of the Field Techs who take the pictures. Then to have management manipulate Tech's hours to raise their revenues is a criminal offense. This is what happened and it needs to stop and I need to get the pay I was jipped. Next step is getting an attorney involved along with Federal Wage and Hour. They need to be investigated.
