    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Defense Contract Management Agency full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Benefits, telework, some empowerment, some variety, challenging... I find the work somewhat fulfilling and not terribly difficult. The use of technology is catching up to industry finally, and being heavily used in the era of COVID19. Ive worked in three different offices around the country and have found them all to have unique approaches to compliance and getting the job done. The diverse background of the quality department has always been a positive aspect of the job, plus the majority of quality folks are veterans, so there’s always great stories to be heard. All in all, I’d say DCMA is a pretty good place to work.

    Cons

Demanding, change management (recently), sometimes very technically complex, quality is typically the catch-all for most undefined responsibilities, defense contractors’ superiority complexes,

I have been working at Defense Contract Management Agency full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Standard government benefits (annual leave, sick leave, tsp, telework, etc)

    Cons

Bureaucracy, Bureaucracy, Bureaucracy. Also, it's always in a state of constant change. Many of the change initiatives are not fully realized before something new comes along.
