      Pros

The managerial leadership here is excellent. Great structure, great communication, and they all set achievable goals and expectations.

      Cons

With a free lunch, from your choice of 19 different restaurants, don’t expect to work here without gaining some weight.

      Awesome job

28 Feb 2023 - Bartender in East Rutherford, NJ

      Pros

Tips are really good. The hourly wage is pretty good too like $20 per hour. It’s easy you meet like so many different people on the job. It’s part time so they don’t need you all the time but the money you can make as a bartender in one day, without doing like super hard work is pretty nice!

      Cons

You can to get bartender certified somehow so find a school that’ll certify you. They take taxes out your paycheck so like if your total was $500 you’d probably only take home like $400 or maybe $430 kinda forgot lol. Certain supervisors are annoying like they think they can tell you not to wear a hat in 10 degree weather, oh and you have to buy your own uniform have to have all black attire. You only get one free lunch ticket. Sometimes you have to be standing in the freezing cold especially during football season so you have to layer up as much as you can.

      Great Atmosphere

13 Feb 2023 - Payroll Coordinator in Detroit, MI

      Pros

I enjoyed my time with Delaware North, working in Detroit between Metro Detroit Airport and Little Caesars Arena. I tend to judge companies by how they allow management to treat the employees. Delaware North cultivates a great management team and culture. What I most appreciated was their commitment to diversity and creating conversation around that. Because of this, I did not only grow as a professional during my time with them, but as a person. Both locations I worked in were heavily unionized (my position was not). The company has a great relationship with the unions in this area and there was a lot of trust between them, meaning that the company didn't do anything shady to get around CBA's and the union reps didn't push back unrealistically if someone faced termination for gross misconduct. They just really worked together nicely with mutual respect. There was a ton of room for advancement and they heavily promoted from within.

      Cons

At the time, I wished I was able to work remote. This was 2019 and prior to the country going remote, so that may have changed. Their pay was also a little under average.

      Cons

Management and upkeep of facilities were not great, which lead to unhappy guests.

      Pros

Money. I work at the TD Garden in Boston. It’s a great part time union gig and it will make you money. Which is the primary purpose to have a job.

      Cons

Some disfunction in management and commissary, but nothing you can’t handle.

      Space 220

      14 Dec 2022 - Server Assistant/Busser in Orlando, FL
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good benefits as a third party partner with Disney. Busser is a tipped out position that usually earns around 100-200 a day depending on shift and how busy they are.

      Cons

Micromanaging is pretty bad here. Upkeep of tools needed is incredibly bad. Promises made by the company aren't upheld. Open door policy is more like you can say something but they won't actually do anything and you might even get told you're just too negative if you bring it up more than once if the issue persists. A good job but I would not consider this a good place to stay long term.
