Experience with curly hair. Network with clients.

Cons

Mistreated, misspoken to, overworked, underpaid, undervalued. Managers stylist and headquarters speaks to you like you’re nothing and no one. No education, no chance of moving up unless someone gets fired and they aren’t making enough money. Lack of consideration and understanding of their employees. Compensation is not worth it for anyone.

People + People: Here's why - the sense of pride that people exude on working at Deva and their professional contributions is unlike anywhere I've seen. People are collaborative, listen to each other, work hard, are patient with one another and wear several different hats around the company. People (pt 2) - management has made making sure the culture stays positive, authentic, and that ppl have great work life balance a top priority. From winter Mondays to a competitive Parental Leave program that you would most likely find at a Fortune 500 company, it is clear that management wants to do right by people. I feel very blessed to be working for such a great company!

Cons

Space is currently a little tight, but with an expanding company, that only means positive things. Hoping to find a new space soon.
