You get to learn from industry veterans with an unlimited research budget. The associate/analyst apprenticeship model is great for development - you get to become an expert on a few specific sectors. Work/life balance is above average for the industry. The firm culture is centered around integrity and doing what is right. The firm's reputation and track record gives the investment team access to company management that is above industry average. Lots of modeling experience. Everyone who works here is nice, smart, and thoughtful. The office is amazing and management cares about employee health and well being. Benefits are incredible.
Cons
There is no upward mobility if you are an associate because it is a fixed 2-3 year program. The pay is below industry average. There is not a lot of teaching associates - you have to be proactive and a self starter in order to gain experience and responsibility. Associates are an expendable resource that leave after a few years due to the nature of the program so there is no incentive to develop them.
