I have been working at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good people - relaxed working environment. Strong brand and company benefits

    Cons

Ineffective management - insanely change structure / targets / roles and make redundancies every November at year end which contributes to an insecure work force. Every year feels like an annual contract

    Advice to Management

Get the wider business more involved with change programmes and the logic behind decisions... start communication earlier... more round tables with UKLT

I worked at Dun & Bradstreet for more than 5 years

    Pros

The company was great until Jeff Stibel came In and made it a call center.

    Cons

They don't care about their employees at all.

    Advice to Management

Bob Carrigan should be ashamed of himself that he allowed this company to turn into what it is today. They let very good loyal people go due to Jeff Stiebel making decisions.

I have been working at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fortunately, you can still make a lot of money if you work hard, especially if you were in position prior to the recent purchase of Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corporation. DBCC now runs the formerly know as Small Business channel of inside sales and is know as Emerging Businesses. Core employees make a higher salary and can really make good money versus DBCC employees who have a low hourly rate. D&B is a reputable brand....

    Cons

If you are looking to get a job in Emerging Businesses now, you can only come in at the low hourly rate and do cold calling before you can grow into any other positions. If you are currently in Emerging Businesses Chanel, you cannot leave or advance your career. There is a professional and then Expert certifications that are timely and make it hard to even qualify for advancement or career development. I personally worked...

Listen to the longtime performers when making changes. Take their advice into consideration when making changes. Value career advancement and help drive that rather than cripple and deny it.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good company to put on a resume.

    Cons

Very impersonal and disconnected. C level has no idea what is really going on all they care about are their own bonuses. Products don't work and the competition is eating their lunch. The smoke and mirrors won't last forever. Everyone is afraid to speak up in fear of losing their jobs.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and smell the inferior products. You let go of some key good people that know where the bodies are buried. It's time to clean house on the top floor.

I have been working at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for less than a year

    Pros

When i first started it was great i felt like it was a good environment and moral was high Offer good benefits , 401 k Good people, dress code is casual

    Cons

The work environment changed in a month , the credibility corp made it into a terrible work environment, they turned the whole place into a call center and expect better results when in reality it is lowering productivity also Crazy high targets make it impossible to make any money and seems like they no longer want to pay their people

    Advice to Management

Read the book how to make friends and influence people. ..ha, yeah that should do it.
