I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Great people who care about their clients. Pto.

      Cons

Layoffs and more layoffs. Lack of communication to sales team. Team selling is a thing of the past. No accountability. Leadership rides their sales team - does not help close a deal. Stay far away until PE folks figure out they’re driving DB to the ground.

      Advice to Management

Listen to the people like you indicated you would when you bought d&b. Fix your products and keep up to date with technology.

I have been working at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Great people who are both smart - know their stuff - and nice to work with. Decent benefits. Work/home balance is good.

      Cons

Private equity firm takeover has led to immense anxiety. Layoffs and potential near-term layoffs have created a negative environment. Middle management not being consulted about who should go or their value to the company. No transparency or communication from new leadership. Confusion as to what is changing and what isn't. Rumors abound. Most people I know are looking elsewhere for employment or have already resigned.

      Advice to Management

It's not all about the bottom line. Regular two-way communication and transparency make people feel valued and invested in the co. Reducing pay, severance and benefits will lead to mass exodus of valuable employees.

I have been working at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

Great People and culture, there are many committed people who strive to make D&B a great place

      Cons

Inefficient systems and processes which cause lots of wasted time and research

      Advice to Management

Need to revamp many internal systems and processes. Just went private and seems like new owners are well aware. Hopefully we will see real progress in this area. But change is not always comfortable

I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than a year

        Pros

The UK business has some great people who are experts in their field and really care about the success of the business. There's been a lot of effort in developing a stronger UK culture in the past couple of years, which has seen the region achieve and beat its targets. The UK senior leadership team is strong and committed to success, but it is held back by the complexity of the global business it has to operate in.

        Cons

Employees are fatigued by constant changes, budget cuts and redundancies, which are now seen as part of the yearly calendar. The business operates a complex matrix, with large numbers of the UK business reporting to US-based managers who do not understand the local market challenges and opportunities, and are focused on North American priorities. This makes it extremely difficult to get things done and has a significant...
