I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I was working with Dun & Bradstreet South Asia Middle East with Dun & Bradstreet at powai office. Nice work atmosphere, good for people from commerce and finance background a lot to learn.

    Cons

Most employees at executive level are on TeamLease payroll. Very pathetic appraisals. Senior management is very cliche and orthodox. No special provisions or supportive environment for employees working on their special projects. People always looking to seal a credit of work.

    Advice to Management

Shut the offshored operations from overseas or else make special provisions for employees working with it.

I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Great benefits and pay. Needs a better culture in order to keep people. Young talent won't stay unless culture is improved.

      Cons

Senior management needs to get rid of some people. Lots of HR people leaving the business. Not a good sign.

      Advice to Management

Employee opinion surveys work well, you might want to try and listen.

      Pros

Company is Great and the culture is good.

      Cons

Individuals have too much power. It is a high school popularity contest. People all like you when you're hot but if one person turns everyone shuns you for no reason. Senior management don't really know what's going on.

      Pros

Great brand and visibility in the market.

      Cons

Company has been a revolving door for years from front line leaders to senior management. Very little investment in products and new data sources.

You will learn a lot about the UAE market and meet a lot of people from all kinds of industries. It has a good name in the market and looks good on the resume

      Cons

No appreciation by the Junior Management whom the Senior Management blindly trusts.

      Advice to Management

Create a better employee appraisal system.

I have been working at Dun & Bradstreet full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

The people and the potential. With proper management and implementation of an operational business model that moves away from a culture of checklists and spreadsheets, D&B could be great once again. It has a deep reservoir of smart, passionate and creative people, but they are steadily leaving or being forced out of the company with broken spirits.

      Cons

Senior management's 'vision' (if there really is one) is not supported by the actual resources D&B has at hand, and priorities are unclear or unrealistic. Issue #1 is that D&B's raw data quality has steady declined over the past 15 years, and the quality gap between D&B and it's competitors has shrunk to nearly zero, yet D&B keeps trying to sell hamburger at steak prices. ...

      Advice to Management

Look within for new talent. Promotion, advancement and hiring practices for the upper and senior management tracks or the past decade have been almost exclusively "hire from outside". How's that been working out for you???

      I worked at Dun & Bradstreet full-time

      Pros

Recognizable name, Lots of History, better data than most

      Cons

Senior Management disengaged from day-to-day business. Suffers from "saying it is makes it so." Top executives always in Hunger Games mode. They live in lavish offices while forcing even next level of executives to work in crowded 'new' pds that were the thing about 15 years ago in the .co world. Too many 2nd tier former AOL execs in charge of key areas.

      Advice to Management

Useless because they're not in a listening mode.
