EMJ has an employee rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars, based on 65 company reviews on Glassdoor which indicates that most employees have a good working experience there. The EMJ employee rating is in line with the average (within 1 standard deviation) for employers within the Construction, repair and maintenance industry (3.7 stars).
The people I worked with were great. I walked away with lasting friendships. I also learned a lot about the industry that I didn't know before. Burt is great.
Cons
There's a reason EMJ is seeing one person a week leave the company. They pride themselves on being servant leaders but no one seems to know what that means. "Leadership" is so inconsistent and unprofessional. No one in leadership had my back when there was a problem and I had to fight my own battles...even within the company. There is a "good-ol-boy" atmosphere and if you don't happen to be in that club, you're on your own.
