    Doesn't Recommend

    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Earls Kitchen + Bar full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - It can be fun, and with a great group of hostesses the hours go by quickly. - You meet some interesting people. - It's a fairly easy job when you get the hang of the seating app, but then gets quickly monotonous. - You get a percentage of the tips, and your meals are 50% off.

    Cons

In addition to all the common cons of a minimum wage job in the service industry: - They promise hostesses waitress training but it takes over a year for them to get around to it, by then (due to high turnover rate) the hostess has probably quit. Always a ton of drama between FOH staff, and the waitresses can be very cliquey. - One of the managers felt like it was appropriate to call me "sweetheart", which was uncomfortable. - We often had to remind our managers, multiple times a night, to give us our legally mandated breaks. - This restaurant chain is known to hire attractive people, this results in some entitled crowds that come in for late night happy hour and give the waitresses unsolicited compliments that border sexual harassment (however, my manager never tolerated this and dealt with rowdy groups like this). Your meals are only 50%.
