Pros
High pay for bay area standards, benefits at full time and part time, and good technology to assist you in your job. Clean environment. Ability to transfer into other nurse specialties with training.
Cons
-Little to no room for advancement for nurses -They support education, but only to boost their numbers for magnet status and hospital stats. -Fake hospital 'culture', the Chief Nursing Officer pretends to care but not very strong evidence of it. -Everyone is unionized so it's hard to terminate bad employees. Absolutely no HR to call for issues at work. I've dealt with sexual harassment, racism, and aggressive coworkers. HR IS OUTSOURCED. That gives you an idea of how they handle situations. When you try to report to HR, they give you a third party service that never returns your calls. I've called and left message for assistance 3 times over the course of the last few years and never got a reply. Management could care less because conflicts at work are the bottom of their priorities.
