Pros
Work from home. That's all I can think of
Cons
Horrendously bad - they advertise "$1 million of life insurance for $10/month!" on the website, which is the rate an incredibly healthy 22 year old would get in absolute ideal conditions. This entices desperate, sick, elderly, impoverished people to enter their info to get a free quote. Then we call - a robo-dialer, dialing a handful of numbers at once, every 10 seconds. Everyone you reach is furious because they get multiple calls a day from the company for 90 straight days after requesting the quote. You then have a script to follow and instructions to aggressively plow through any objections in order to get the person a quote. 99% of the people are too old, sick, or poor, so they cannot get insured. You hear nothing but anger and sadness all day. Oh, and they monitor how long you are logged into the robo-dialer, and you are reprimanded if you hop off for 15 minutes. Management is the very definition of micromanagement - they pull random calls and constantly schedule reviews, asking you to explain why you were out of the queue, why you didn't follow the script, why you didn't plow forward with the script despite the customer's desperate pleas for you to stop. All this for terrible pay, and you have to work Saturdays. I can't imagine a worse job in the industry.
