Pros

The coworkers you get to know and work with are genuine people, workload can be extremely quiet at times.

Cons

Very little if any resources are put into R&D so it doesn't put much faith in the future of the company. The company's most relevant products were last developed in 2008 or prior and lost majority of their intellectual property and internal documentation. You have to compensate for the defiencies of the products through workarounds and additional labour. Most of the management obtained their positions not through merit but just being employed for a long amount of time. Almost none of management is competent enough to understand or capable of doing any of the very jobs they manage. Upper management only cares about metrics and will not award hard work. Hard work will be taken advantage of and management will use loopholes in job description wording to add duties to existing responsibilities without increase in salary. You are expected to have a extended knowledge of automotive 12V electrical installations and maintain the electrical wiring repository and answer all the inquiries of third-parties and as well as investigating occurence reports that require extensive automotive experience with no compensation. Dealing with difficult customers and occasional unstable customers on your own as the management chooses their involvement and frequently chooses not to be present. Management likes to come off as if they're capable but often decieves customers and expects you to do the same. There is no SOP and there is little to no training with no consistency but will expect you to provide it. You will be the sole role that understands the products and services you provide. Extremely resistant to change and innovation may come in a decade if lucky. Company overall is focused on delivering outdated products and compensating it's shortcomings with added work and 'life-support' in the form of add on modules provided by the employees that work with it everyday. Poor hindsight and unable to manage pace workloads. Management will typically shutdown any new ideas that aren't theirs.
