Unrealistic expectations: This role was posted as part-time, but required constant availability, immediate responses, and explanations for even the smallest payroll fluctuations. Management challenges: Manager’s communication style was unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, creating a stressful work environment. Expectations often shifted last-minute, and accountability was deflected rather than addressed. Role misalignment: Assigned responsibilities (compliance, state documents, workflows) went far beyond the scope of a part-time coordinator role.
