Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience at Apollo.io. We appreciate your honesty and the time you took to provide your insights. Thanks for sharing you enjoyed the remote work setup, found the pay competitive, and appreciated your colleagues. These are important aspects of our company culture that we strive to maintain. We also recognize the areas you've identified for improvement and take your concerns seriously. Here’s how we are addressing these issues: Leadership Structure: We understand the challenges that can arise from the CEO also taking on the role of Chief Product Officer. We are currently reviewing our leadership structure to ensure that each role is effectively managed and that all employees receive the support they need. Product Culture: Building a strong product culture is crucial for our success. We are working on fostering a more collaborative and innovative environment where employees feel empowered to contribute to the product's development and success. This includes more regular cross-departmental meetings, open forums for idea sharing, and dedicated time for product innovation. Work Environment: We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment. We are implementing initiatives to promote teamwork and collaboration, ensuring that all employees feel valued and respected. This includes team-building activities, mentorship programs, and clear communication of our company values. Manager Development: We recognize that managing a team for the first time can be challenging. To support our first-time managers, we are introducing training forums, supporting ongoing education benefits and mentorship opportunities to help them develop the necessary skills to lead effectively and empathetically. We also want to address the feedback regarding empathy. We believe in the importance of empathy and understanding in leadership. Our CEO and leadership team are actively working on improving communication and ensuring that all employees feel heard and supported. Please share your feedback with us also in our up and coming employee survey. Which we take very serious as a key mechanism for us to understand how we can improve. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continue to grow and improve. If you have any further suggestions or would like to discuss your concerns in more detail, please let me know, thanks Declan Thank you again for your insights and for being a part of Apollo.io.

Pros

Only the fact that it's remote work, and maybe not even that.

Cons

Not even sure where to start with this company. This is probably one of the most erratic companies I have NOT had the pleasure of being a part of. The lack of structure within job roles is alarming. There were several employees that I worked with who literally had no idea what their true job descriptions were, with the responsibilities and priorities within roles shifting almost daily, leaving people stressed and confused. Upper management is absolutely clueless about the day-to-day, nor do they care to be involved. The expectation is to "just do" and "do it fast" without question, even at the expense of your time, mental health ect. I honestly have never experienced such a company absent a clear framework. They use about 100 different "productivity tools," which makes it close to impossible to work cohesively and produce high-quality work. Everyone is basically operating on their own and "hoping" for successful results. The turnover is super high, and people are leaving left and right, which is a huge red flag. I would not at all recommend this company if you are looking for a place that offers any kind of structure, work-life balance, or an organized environment.
