Pros

- Colleagues are great and friendly, but more of the good ones are leaving, so not sure how good the workplace environment will be in time to come. - Good for entry-level, everyone here sees this place as a stepping stone.

Cons

The whole structure is like a sinking ship, and the only saving grace is a handful of managers who can lead but are not given the right support.
There are a few credit-hogging managers. They take credit while their teams are the ones doing all the heavy lifting. Favoritism is practically written in neon lights. Some lucky souls get to bend the rules and enjoy special treatment.
KPIs? Forget about it. The goalposts are on a perpetual vacation, making performance reviews a circus.
Now, let's talk about our CEO. Delusional is an understatement. While the rest of us see the value in being friendly with other media agencies in the industry, this guy's convinced we're the kings of the jungle and everyone else is a threat. Newsflash: nobody else is buying into that fantasy. Most people at the company believe that getting along with other companies will help us grow in the industry. Leaving this joint is like escaping a mafia clan. Management can't stand it when someone finds a better opportunity, as if we owe them our firstborn for the privilege of working here.
And here's a pro tip: watch your back. There are a few snitches lurking around, cozying up to the boss and reporting your every move. It's like high school drama in this gossip mill.
Lastly, if we want to be taken seriously in the industry, can we please stop trying to be a jack of all trades? Everyone in this company likes using the term "accredited media" to boast about their status in the industry but with the number of news sites in the country...that's not as big of a feat as they think it is. No one takes the company seriously as they want to be a mix of a gossip site, a lifestyle site and a news site.

Pros

Near mrt, can go home on time, good content/production

Cons

No structured onboarding. New hires receive little guidance during the first months. Most learning happens through trial and error. Staff rely on colleagues for help, yet colleagues already handle heavy workloads. Knowledge transfer stays inconsistent and incomplete. Training support stays weak. No formal training plan exists for new employees. Staff receive targets and responsibilities without proper preparation. CEO shows poor people management. Communication often turns aggressive. Staff hear shouting in the office when leadership feels unhappy about results or decisions. Shouting also occurs when he questions work he previously approved or forgets prior approvals. Public scolding creates tension and discomfort across the workplace. CEO often focuses on personal status and past connections. Conversations frequently revolve around who he knows or companies he worked with. Many of those individuals left those companies years ago. These discussions feel disconnected from current business realities. Leadership places strong emphasis on status as one of four accredited media outlets in Singapore. This point appears often in internal discussions. Market visibility and influence feel far smaller than leadership perception. Internal processes move slowly. Approval for small or routine items often takes a long time. Simple decisions require multiple rounds of checking which slows down daily work. Workplace culture feels political. Favoritism affects how certain staff receive treatment or opportunities. Office gossip appears common across departments. Career growth stays limited. Few clear promotion paths exist. Employees struggle to see long term development inside the company. High staff turnover across departments, often in double digit numbers. Frequent resignations create knowledge gaps. Remaining staff absorb additional workload which further lowers morale.
