If you work or not..After 2 years HR will file your H1..so not good for who works hards..and good for who simply do butter polishing to managers/HR. Even if you are on bench..u have to serve 90 days notice period. Once you put down your paper. 90 days are like HELL in Syntel. Some software engineers have twice salary then project leads. So, designation/rating in Syntel is just A MYTH. Everything depends upon your bargaining skill in market (like vegetable market). Only 3 types of people stay in Syntel. 1) Trainees who don't know anything. 2) Engineers who are in bond. Like H1, L1, UK work permit, bonus bond, etc.. 3) Managers who knows how to torture trainees and get project done.
