Pros
I love working here. The opportunities to learn are endless! I feel as though my position is now tailored for my strengths, and that my career is on the right path. Promotions from within are encouraged, and the best person for the job is always considered carefully.
BMC has an open door policy, and I never have any problems talking to anyone about anything. If I have a concern, it is taken seriously and it is fixed right away (or steps are put in place to start the process). The support is a big part of how BMC feels like a family. We have very open communication in the office, with daily "huddles" happening just after lunch so everyone can voice any questions or concerns (to the whole team), and get help and feedback. Very rarely do we have useless, unproductive meetings - actually, thinking about it, I don't think I've been to one that is useless.
We have a ton of team-building events as well, from bowling to skating to learning to swordfight. We have a Sun Run team, that has just started in 2014 but we are definitely running again in 2015! We also play in the SPFK (Slo Pitch for Kids) tournament, which supports the Make a Wish Foundation.
Cons
We are growing pretty fast, so there are some typical growing pains. Especially as roles are being more clearly defined and specialized, and everyone needs to re-learn what someone does (not completely, but it can still be a bit of a challenge).
