Pros
Gained experience due to a "sink or swim mentality". Pretty easy to coast in this position.
Cons
Often when asked about this experience, i tell people that I never truly undersood what depression felt like until working here I was underpaid significantly, based on the amount of work I completed. I was also often told during performance reviews that my work was excellent, I had great skill and determination, but was then given a "meets expectations". I was also rarely given time to complete work (I was typically meeting with clients and beginning my work the week projects were due). It's very clear from my time here that interiors was not a priority and the goal was to give me more architectural duties without the added pay. When I finally gave notice, the owners did not speak to me for the remainder of my week, and even on my last day going so far as to actively avoid me as I said goodbye.
