Okay, there needs to be an easier way to leave a review if you're a job applicant. It should not be just employers who are permitted to do this. CAM reached out to me twice for jobs in their Phoenix area. They wanted me to come to their corporate office downtown for the interviews even though the job location is nowhere near that. I asked for a virtual interview because, you know, it's 2023. We should not have to spend 2+ hours of our working day for an interview. A virtual interview would have taken me only an hour. Interviewing at the job location, which was closer to where I was anyway, would have also taken just an hour. Candidates should not be expected to schlep all over creation for an interview that is not even at the intended job location in this day and age. Get with the times, CAM. When I suggested a closer/virtual/or alternative time for the interview (I am less busy after 3:00, but that's when I schedule all my interviews, so if you can't do a virtual one, expect to wait a few days) I was told "this is not the job for you" on my first application and "the position has been filled" on the second. In my experience, an employer doesn't fill a position before interviewing all the candidates they reached out to, so I am very hesitant to believe that they actually filled it. I think they didn't want to consider me because I'm not a doormat, and I ask questions.
