I worked at CEI: The Digital Office full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed being on the sales team at CEI. The expectations were very straightforward and fair. I felt that I was open to be open and honest with management about the good and the bad. They give you the flexibility and resources to be able to learn and essentially "run your own business" in such a way that works best for you. The supporting staff repetitively goes the extra mile to help you and your customers out which is really w hat keeps CEI customers, customers. The President brings so much positive energy to the table and really does a great job bringing employees and customers together for awesome events that support the local community!

    Cons

    1. Low pay but the entire copier industry doesnt pay very well. You pretty much have to stick around 4+ years to build a customer base large enough to bring in $100k a year

I have been working at CEI: The Digital Office full-time

    Pros

This is a great company to be a part of! It is a family owned, local company & very involved in the community. CEI loves to help, sponsor, & volunteer around the Triangle. Management has a very positive role in the work environment and truly care about their employees. There is room for growth and your work does not go unnoticed. Not only do they participate in the community, there are several opportunites for team activities for some office fun! To top it off, they have some really cool robots to represent the company!

    Cons

I have no cons to be listed.

I worked at CEI: The Digital Office full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I don’t have really any pros about working here - I guess the benefits were okay but besides that I hated the time I spent here.

    Cons

    1. When you give your two weeks notice, that’s your last day on the job. They don’t allow you to finish out your time. 2. I had two people I worked with do something wrong and when it was reported management did nothing about it since they were hired due to knowing people in HR. 3. One of the guys I worked with was a complete racist and HR would do nothing about it. 4. They watch your every move and don’t let you do anything on your own, they have no trust for their employees.

    CEI: The Digital Office Response

    December 13, 2017CEO

Thank you for your feedback regarding CEI: The Digital Office. Based upon your review of our company, we felt it very necessary to address your statements and we’re concerned as to why HR was never made aware of any of these issues. Additionally, since this is anonymous, it gives our team no path towards understanding why this was never reported and, more importantly, address and resolve any internal issues. 1. Per our company policy, we are not required to have an employee complete their notice. This is all dependent upon the job duties assigned and if there is a transfer of knowledge that needs to take place to the next team member assuming their responsibilities. While we appreciate the two week notice, it is not a requirement that we have you complete this notice. 2. CEI’s HR department consistently strives to communicate with all team members in providing a safe and pleasant work environment. There are no documented concerns that have been submitted concerning any two team members within our organization. CEI proactively encourages all team members to voice any questions or concerns regarding the workplace. 3. Again, our Human Resource department does not have any complaints on file regarding this incident. Additionally, CEI has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to undesirable behavior amongst team members’ including but not limited to drug use, sexual harassment, violence, fraud and racial discrimination. 4. Certain jobs within our company do require that your “every move” be tracked. Anyone operating a company provided vehicle is aware that their vehicle is tracked via GPS for their safety and to insure our clients’ the best customer experience by reducing our response time to service requests maximizing their organization’s productivity. We invite you to please share with us the problems you experienced while here at CEI, as we take all complaints very seriously and we wish you the best going forward.
