Pros

There are literally none at all.

Cons

The pro rata salary advertised is never the salary you get - they pay very low. They say they will extend your PT hours to FT, this is not true They give you a bunch of papers when you start and tell you to make up your own syllabus for some courses. There are only 3 people working at the company FT but they will make out it is massive. They say they will train you but no mention of this happens again Every decision is made behind your back They love to micromanage They pay you for 3 days PT, but since you are driving for most of that, the wages become very low for the amount of preparation you have to put in, 4Hrs+ for one day. They tell their clients you will be there from 9.30-4pm and do not include the 6-7hr commute plus preparation time. No support is given When students do not complete their work they blame you, CSR does not take the side of their employees even if sign in sheets, CCTV and receptionists can vouch for you. The final paycheck will be low, they will underpay you and cut you off via telephone and email. If there are any changes needed, you will find out three weeks later via a third party and that will be the end of your contract. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - They are just after government grants. There are no career opportunities it is a dead end job. 25 miles of each trip is deducted, you do not get all your expenses They will take your holiday pay without asking you if you want to transfer this to the next year.

Pros

I have worked for CSR for many years now and very much enjoy working here. We have competitive salaries, are awarded pay rises based on performance and have a pension provided. We were inspected by Ofsted last year and were found to be making reasonable progress in all areas. We receive regular training and anyone who does not have a teaching qualification on joining CSR is put through one.

Cons

Ofsted inspections and lots of audits.
