Terrible personal experience as a full time employee in North Carolina. Had high turnover. - Production Support/Logistics/Gemstone Cleaner Charles & Colvard Employee Review

Pros

When I worked here, in my experience, everyone seemed to quit or get fired in a short time - so the pros here would be those folks saved themselves a lot of negative experiences by moving on sooner. It also taught me what I don't want in a job, and this is now the benchmark of my worst employment experience when I compare it to others in my opinion.

Cons

I finished working here in 2014 but the option was not there above for Glassdoor. This place had very high turnover, and almost everyone I knew hated working there. It seemed everyone was fired or left after an unusually short period, from my perspective. Personally, I wouldn't want my worst enemy to work here. Worst employment experience I ever worked for by far. After I quit, I never heard from them again - which is even stranger. No exit interview, no email, no phone call or anything - and I worked there for almost a year and was one of the 2 primary people who ran my department.

Pros

The CEO and VP of sales are joined at the hip and live together and this creates a great space for working.

Cons

Sometimes the two of them aren't able to see all the issues because they can't see past each other

Pros

Worked with some amazing people in the customer service, sales & marketing departments

Cons

Everything else. The CEO is a misogynistic, racist dictator and his sidekick pretends to be on your side and care about you just to talk about you to others (as if it won’t get back to you). They make empty false promises berate and degrade you. Not to mention there’s no real HR to report any of this too because they fired them… hmmm I wonder why? There’s no work life balance and when you try to restore that balance or God forbid you need time off when a family member passed there is a problem. Save yourself the stress and ridicule. Especially if your a minority.
