Smaller Firm - Excellent Integrity
Anonymous EmployeeFormer EmployeePros
Since it's a smaller firm, there is not a lot of 'red tape' to contend with when needing to involve other people or departments when trying to get the job done. The entire firm is very customer focused, which is great to see. A tightly knit group with a long average tenure makes for a solid foundation. Management places an extremely high priority on integrity. They will welcome auditing by independent firms and the FTC, they do everything possible to maintain compliance.
Cons
That same tightly knit group makes new comers feel like outsiders. After a few years one can still feel like an 'outsider' and unwelcome. Be prepared to feel like a 'second-class citizen' if you aren't in Sales or you aren't an Analyst. Management has some old paradigms such as: a.) The Sales Staff walks on water b.) If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The title of Director is thrown around too loosely to the point where it becomes almost meaningless. Growth opportunities are limited given the small size of the firm.
