Pros
Seemed to be chill in general.
Enough time was given to finish tasks.
Cons
I am reposting this again since my last review of this employer was taken down without notification from Glassdoor. If taken down again I might post on other social media channels anonymously.
A good amount of trash talking or bullying here and there, and I'm sure multiple past interns can attest to this. For example, one of the instructors calling one of the interns "fat" and the same person, even though he was joking, called one of the contract hires a "diversity hire." I can include another very inappropriate remark he made, but I'm choosing not to. The workplace seemed to foster microaggressions.
I understand that people have different comfort zones, which may be fine in the short term, but if anything gets out of hand, there could be much worse outcomes for the workplace.
Lastly, although 100% legal, I think it's wrong to make unpaid interns work full-time hours for other non-profit organizations' purposes. This is especially the case if they are paying out of pocket without WorkNet paying their tuition.
