    I have been working at Cox Communications full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    They have always treated me very well, I started as a Home tech and moved up. They promote from within and offer "ride along" days so you can kind of preview a job. They encourage you to move up and expand your horizons.

    Cons

    When I started, your promotions within your department were basically up to you. Want to be a tech II, do the tech II classes, show tech II numbers and then hit up your boss and you got promoted. Recently they have changed that to where there has to be an opening to move up. It's not always that bad, but it was better when the ball was in your court, now you have to do all of that and then wait for an opening.
