Pros
You can get double digit raises every year by gaming their laughable and ridiculous performance metrics. Also if you're good at office politics then the sky's the limit at Merrill.
Cons
During the tail end of my tenure, developers were graded on the amount of bugs they introduced into a sprint. The less you had the better you looked. It didn't take long before the senior developers would only start assigning themselves easy low hanging fruit while passing off the difficult tasks to the junior developers. Within a year of this charade they shipped the entire dept to India.
