Pros
Offshore crews are excellent—team-oriented, skilled, and resilient under pressure.
The work itself is technically engaging and provides unique experience in the field.
Cons
Toxic management culture driven by bullying, fear, and intimidation.
Pay is consistently based on who you know not what you know. Also no consistent pay scale which is not comparable with industry standards
No support from HR or leadership when issues arise—HR is basically window dressing, all issues are driven via SMT~~radio silence is standard.
Favoritism and nepotism trumps performance; promotions are based on politics, friends and family not merit.
No structured training, onboarding, or career progression.
Offshore staff often feel abandoned—zero visibility from onshore leadership.
Morale is low and turnover is high—and for good reason.
