Pros

Training, if you are based near London, you will be sent to training at the flagship office twice over 6 months, Get that training stay a couple more months and then take that experience and get out of there!

Cons

Long hours, full 1hr for lunch are frowned upon, lots of micro managing, expect every moment of your time there to be closely monitored and watched! Zero benefits, Zero support, awful pay (But they will tell you this will change once you start placing candidates, but the commission isn't great) Progression is slow, you can go from associate Recruiter to Recruiter within 6 months of being there but once you make it to a fully fledged recruiter in their eyes, expected progression to be slow and don't expect to get any higher for a long time. After leaving hays and meeting with other ex hays recruiter, you realise that you are suffer from PTSD from the Hayes experience.

Pros

Great place for new recruiters to gain experience. A lot to learn. Younger crowd, fun teams.

Cons

Competitive, people that weren't succeeding would be put on PIPs and eventually let go. Can be some micro-managing. Not all managers created equal - some great, some not so great.
