Former Employee - Branch Employee in Cleveland, OH (US)

I worked at Huntington National Bank full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Nice to have a job.

Cons

Branch Manager and Asst Branch Manager do not pull their fair share of the workload. Everything gets dumped on the peons. Turnover high because employees are tired of being taken advantage of. No leading by example.

Advice to Management

Hold Managers more accountable for why the employees are always unhappy and turnover is high. What do they do all day long????????????

  2. Huntington is a great company to own shares of, not the best to work at.

    Pros

Plenty of access to senior level management to learn from.

    Cons

Pay, hours, zero perks (literally), lots of turnover, I dont know anyone who has transitioned roles internally - everyone is hired for positions externally, the company overall doesn't value employees - this is evident by the very high turnover rate, long hours, and low pay.

    Advice to Management

Having a higher emphasis on employee satisfaction would result in less turnover, which results in more efficiency/productivity. Less money would be spent on hiring/training people who will need at least six months to get up to the speed of the individual who left.
