    Pros

Ipsos is a decent place to work right out of college. The pay is low but it's a decent resume builder.

    Cons

I worked for an analytics division and the VP was the worst manager I've ever had. He always thought he was the smartest in the room and loved the sound of his own voice. He would not give his team the tools to succeed in their jobs, and then berate them for not doing exactly what he envisioned. Many in his team have since left and those who haven't are extremely unhappy. This was a recurring theme at Ipsos - employees would be slowly beat down by their managers until the they could no longer take it and leave. The turnover was, and continues to be, very high. I worked closely with another team whose managers looked down on the RAs, and did not seem to realize that the individuals they hired had graduate degrees and were actually very smart and capable. We were relegated to doing mundane, brainless tasks every day. Any initiatives to improve these tasks by learning new skills and tools was discouraged. I felt as though the managers, who only had Bachelor's degrees, were afraid of being outsmarted by the RAs with higher degrees. All in all, management at Ipsos does not respect lower to mid-level staff. They want you to work a dead-end job for a low pay, then breadcrumb you in hopes that you will stay longer. I left within a year and doubled my salary at my next role. The managers at my current job actually respect my opinion, appreciate what I bring to the table, and give me the freedom to do my job well.
