    Pros

J.P. Morgan embraces a growth mindset and offer many paths to help you develop your skills and promote career mobility. During the pandemic, they also took the necessary steps to keep employees safe and where hiring at a time when many companies were laying off.

    Cons

Many employees wish to continue working remote, however, there is a push from senior leaders for everyone to return to the office. J.P.Morgan could do a better job recognizing the cultural shift that took place because of the pandemic. During the pandemic, we've proven our ability to adapt and are even more productive than before. Many employees recognize the benefit and use the reclaimed commute time to spend with our families or complete work tasks. J.P.Morgan launched initiatives to be more green and forcing all employees back to the office conflicts with those priorities. The added expense to employees and the increase in emissions and wear and tear (e.g., tires) is inconsistent with going green.

Good Company, try to land in a good branch (if you're a banker)

    Pros

Overall, the company has all the tools to make your job easy and set you up for success. Your personal success as a banker depends on your location, your team, your manager and how willing you are to follow their guidance. Great PTO and benefits. Company-wide work culture is positive, open-minded, inclusive, and caring. There is definitely opportunity to grow if you put in the work and follow guidelines. There is a lot of structure and resources available to you, if you choose to utilize them.

    Cons

Your personal success as a banker depends on your location, your team, your manager, and how willing you are to follow their guidance. If you're in a good situation, you're in a great spot. If you're not in a good situation, it will be tough. Long-term growth is limited at the branch level/requires thinking outside your outlined job role growth to continue, but that does not necessarily mean you cannot make a good living, have a good life, or get where you want to be if you look for it. The Incentive plan for bankers changes every year, sometimes it gets drastically cut. Get used to making a lot of phone calls, as the company has geared towards this for the future.
