Pros
The caliber of people working at KnowledgeWorks is amazing. I love working with smart, passionate people thinking deeply about how to improve education for kids around the country. Although KnowledgeWorks has been going through a lot of change recently, I think management is trying very hard to keep employees engaged and part of the conversation, even though things are not always perfect. I appreciate how thoughtful the organization is about issues of race and equity. I also find both my teammates and manager to be generous about understanding challenges and priorities outside of work.
Cons
High performing people have very high expectations for themselves and each other. There is very little slack here - if you want to work hard and you produce high quality work, you will thrive. If you can't keep up, KnowledgeWorks can be a tough environment. I also tell people who are interested in working here that you must be comfortable with ambiguity - KnowledgeWorks is very entrepreneurial and change is a constant - exciting if you like change, a challenge if you don't!
