Toxic environment, questionable management practices - Project Manager Korean Churches for Community Development Employee Review

Pros

Like the other reviews have noted, there are opportunities to do different things. The stated goals of the organization are noble.

Cons

Demoralizing place to work. Employees are overworked and under-informed, but they're blamed when things go badly. There are opportunities to do lots of things, but it's because staff are stretched too thin. It's common for employees to assume a bunch of extra responsibilities that aren't in their job description, therefore work they're not compensated for. The comments about the narcissistic, bullying management are accurate. Their actions wouldn't be tolerated elsewhere, but they can get away with it here because they work in a cultural bubble, and they tend to hire people who can't easily afford to leave their jobs. That so many people do anyway speaks volumes.

Pros

You learn a lot of new things and you are kept busy.

Cons

The workload can be overwhelming but the management is the worst part of working here. The CEO is extremely narcassitic and petty. She chastises you for every little thing. She makes rude comments and belittles the employees there. Employees are always quitting and this company is always being sued by former workers for unpaid wages.
