Okay - Teacher Little Sprouts Employee Review

Extremely supportive coworkers and team, great hours and pay.

Kinda hard to determine what to do with spare time in between covering breaks or bathroom breaks, leaving me wondering where I'm best needed.

The teachers are excellent and the families are generally very nice.

Administration is disorganized and disingenuous. Food, toys, and classroom supplies are not ordered when they are promised, leaving teachers to scramble to make last minute substitutions to snack or lesson plans or even use their own money to fill the gaps. Administration is generally abrasive to staff, creating an environment where teachers feel unwelcome to share their suggestions or concerns. Communication between admin and teachers is inconsistent, leading to a work culture based on confusion, gossip, and fear, primarily due to the demeanor of the assistant director. Back in March, this location experienced a large turnover. I applauded the director for taking this situation and hiring new, qualified staff. Now that the teachers have improved, it is time for admin to take a few refresher courses in adequate and fair leadership.
