Pros
I've been here for four years since the two teams combined to create what is now LiveSwitch. I'm not going to lie, there have been some bumps along the way (which I would expect anytime two companies come together), but it really feels like the company has found its groove. Top positives: - Lots of freedom and ownership - Driven team; incredibly talented teammates - Unique approach to product management that seems to be very effective - Adaptive - Growing
Cons
It took some time to build a new identity when the two companies came together. And frankly, a lot of employees were thrust into a completely different situation that they did not sign up for, which is hard. Top negatives: - There is a reason why most startups fail. IT IS HARD. The flipside of "freedom" and "ownership" is long hours and high stress. You are singularly responsible, for better or worse. - Not a lot of structure or process (intentionally). Sometimes this speeds things up. Other times it slows things down. - The company is growing, which means we are constantly having to jump in and plug gaps that have not been filled yet.
