Pros

No pros. Whoever wrote the recent five star review is either lying, or, it was one of the owners or their newest Account Executive who was booted from their other company, OOHology.

Cons

No organization. No process. No training. The owners are rude and they only hire beautiful women to sleep with them or put them down if they refuse by insulting them or making them feel like they are worthless before firing them. Makespace! is the most unorganized place and take this is a warning to run and go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Pros

I spent a few years with Makespace (yes I'm a woman) and was always treated with respect and was promoted through the company. Management and the team is focused on clients first but the team is like family to eachother. The work is amazing and I kinda regret leaving now that I see agency life from another office.

Cons

Don't do a lot of cultural events

Pros

Fair pay and decent benefits. Videographer, designer and developer were all great to work with.

Cons

Very little training was actually offered despite the CEO being extremely adamant about the ramp up being 3-6 months before projects would be fully handed over to a new PM. I was fired right before my 90 days without warning (in public), without any chance to try and improve or request more proper training or improvement plan. Be aware that the creative director is extremely sexist and misogynistic. There is no accountability there at all. He would not answer my calls or respond to texts. Would never update the tracking software or complete requests, causing projects to fall far behind. The CEO and creative director are also in a relationship, which was not disclosed before I made my decision to take their offer of employment. If I had known that I would not have joined the company that unceremoniously dumped me in Q4 saying it was a favor to me to find a more corporate oriented job. No one is hiring in Q4, it was cruel.
