Pros
Choose your own shifts, I mainly work on the Emergency Department as the staff there are fantastic and it relies a lot on Nhsp to be fully staffed, Great support via phone helpline and online support, Great weekend pay rates, Great progression if you work in a department that get to know you and your abilities they can sign you off as competent and you can go up a band. Elaine Beckford is very supportive and there when needed for face to face advice, guidance and support.
Cons
Notification of employment stoppage.. When mandatory training is not completed on time or she documents aren't handed in on time this is not made clear, you receive generic emails that don't look of any importance and can miss deadline dates and notifications and as a result you can attempt to book a shift and only find out you can't work when it doesn't allow you, there is no notification that says "You can no longer book shifts" or "You have x amount of days to complete this or you will be stopped from booking shifts" Essentially this is a big problem and down to the lack of communication or communication not made clear.
