Pros
I have been there long enough and worked in many projects so I can make these observations: - Recommended for folks interested in finance/accounting and related disciplines - Not recommended for folks in IT, project management or software delivery - Neutral opinion for engineering/chemical disciplines, although promising as they remain mostly independent of the other silos - Great partners, MDs and teams in finance, accounting, outsourcing, valuation, engineering, etc. - Cannot say the same about the Process & Technology consulting partners and some MDs - Good office location with nice office decor - Almost all partners demonstrate a genuine interest in your well being - Projects are challenging and clients appreciate your work - Decent salary and so-so bonus - Good camaraderie at the lower levels of the organization - Great Christmas and summer pool party
Cons
Unfortunately, the good also has the bad. In this case, I am not happy with some of the ways they handle situations and people: - Limited professional development - OK for early career but of no impact to others with some or advanced experience - You are only as good as the skills you bring with you or learn on your own - Individual personality analytics provided by a third party not necessarily for your benefit - Bench management is horrible - unless you proactively manage project assignments, you will be fired no matter whether you are there 5 weeks or 5 years - nobody has your back! - Need to eliminate some of the major consulting firm bad traits that made their way into this organization
