Pros

We recently got some new hires that have really good experience. While anyone can google something to look up a solution to a problem, I am very optimistic about the future of the company because we have new guys with a ton of programming and IT experience.

Cons

I suppose the downside of having really talented people on board now is they know what you're doing and how long a project should take. So if you are on task there is really no downside but I know if I don't get my work done someone is going to know right away. I am a professional so I am not going to sweat it - just an fyi if you come from a larger organization and are hoping to skate on by - this isn't the place for you.

Pros

stable software as a service products that do not require a lot of training once the customer gets onboarded. i also like how easy it is to do a demo when a prospect wants to see the system.

Cons

the sales cycle can take longer that i want as we sell to a lot of mom and pop small businesses so i can't really hard close them since they don't use anything to begin with. the last software company i worked at i had more sales but way more cancellations so i do prefer this environment.

Pros

I managed jira projects for the transition from Quomation's legacy software to their new web based .net infrastructure. The initial spin up was a ton of work but once we got the framework built, the operation ran great. Seeing a project from the conception stage all the way through to production is one of the more satisfying experiences I had with Quomation. When the heavy lifting was done, I was off to find my next project to do.

Cons

Legacy software can be messy. It was not unique to Quomation as other places I have been, there were some real head scratchers but like any business, you got to get a project to market in order to return the money invested. I would have liked more documentation but since we had a small group we were able to figure it all out. trial and error but the job got done.
