Pros

7 working hours. 25 days paid holiday + bank holidays. Good pension contributions. Flexible working hours. Ability to work from home. Free parking. Good cafeteria & canteen. Nice garden. They provide training. It's hard to get reprimanded for bad performance even during the probation period.

Cons

- Lack of management. The managers are not hands on with the team and they don’t always know how to judge the work that the team is doing. - Lack of project specifications. A lot of the time you have to improvise the brief. - No clear way for career progression. Your responsibilities can increase without an official recognition such as a promotion. A promotion can be stalled for ambiguous reasons such as “the HR process takes too long”. - Politically incorrect staff. It’s likely to hear discriminatory language within your team which is perceived as "bants" from the managers. - Project managers do not trust the experts when it comes to project estimates. They also sometimes try to manipulate conversations to make you agree to inaccurate estimates. - It feels more rewarding to work for this company as a contractor than it does as permanent staff, because you can achieve a long term contract with more flexible working times, less (micro)managing and more pay. - Constant pointless meetings. - The bonus scheme is ambiguous and you don’t get any bonus if you’re serving your notice period.
